The number of A stand students in 2022 KCSE results increased from those who got the same grade in 2021. This is according to Education CS Ezekiel Machogu.
Speaking while releasing the results from Mitihani House on Friday, CS Ezekiel Machogu said a total of 1,146 students obtained an overall grade of A stand in 2022 as compared to 1,138 candidates who got A in 2021.
Those who got a minimum university grade of C plus and above were 173, 340 forming 19.03% up from 145, 776 17.55 in 2021. D plus and above were 522,588 candidates in 2022 KCSE.
Students who got an A stand in 2022 were 271 female students and 875 male students.
A total of 884,263 students did the KSCE exams in 2022.
At the same time, Machogu announced that the grade seven learners will report to their respective schools on 3Oth January 2023.H
He said the govt will spend Ksh. 18B on JSS in the next financial year… Ksh.4000 out of the Ksh. 15000 capitation per learner will be spent on putting up laboratories.
